Police ID 20-Year-Old Found Dead In MD Parking Lot

Detectives in Montgomery County are investigating a homicide that was reported in Silver Spring on Sunday night.

Laurel resident Jedidiah Kehiku Ogboi-Gibson, 20, has been identified by investigators as the victim who was found late on Sunday, May 14 in the 1300 block of Fenwick Lane.

Shortly after 10:30 p.m. on Sunday night, officers were called to the parking lot, where Ogboi-Gibson was found suffering from a gunshot wound. He was treated at the scene by Montgomery Fire and Rescue personnel, though he was pronounced dead at the scene of the shooting.

Police noted that several other unoccupied cars were also hit by the hail of bullets during the shooting on Sunday.

Ogboi-Gibson’s body has been transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore for an autopsy, which will determine the exact cause and manner of death.

No suspect is in custody. The investigation is active and ongoing.
